Transfer Maroon Scholarship
Criteria
- 2.0 - 2.99 cumulative transfer GPA*
- 12 or more transferable credit hours*
Value
- Up to $1,500/year for two years, with a total value of up to $3,000
Deadline
- Awarding begins in September for Fall 2026 admits.
- Awarding begins in October for Spring 2026 admits.
- Awarding concludes when funds are exhausted.
*Students who complete a Bachelor's Degree before entering SIU are ineligible.
Transfer Silver Scholarship
Criteria
- 3.0 - 3.49 cumulative transfer GPA
- 12 or more transferable credit hours*
Value
- Up to $2,500/year for two years, with a total value of up to $5,000
Awarding Timeline
- Awarding begins in September for Fall 2026 admits.
- Awarding begins in October for Spring 2026 admits.
- Awarding concludes when funds are exhausted.

Dean's Transfer Scholarship
Criteria
- 3.5 or higher cumulative transfer GPA
- 12 or more transferable credit hours*
Value
- Up to $4,000/year for two years, with a total value of of up $8,000
Awarding Timeline
- Awarding begins in September for Fall 2026 admits.
- Awarding begins in October for Spring 2026 admits.
- Awarding concludes when funds are exhausted.
*Students who complete a Bachelor's Degree before entering SIU are ineligible.
Recipients with 30+ credit hours who are working towards an Associate's Degree and entering SIU in a Fall term are eligible to apply for the Provost's Scholarship.
Provost's Scholarship
Criteria
- Recipient of Dean's Transfer Scholarship
- Have earned or will earn an associate degree from a regionally accredited community college before enrolling at SIU*
- Entering SIU for a Fall term
- Complete Provost's Scholarship application
Value
- Full tuition and mandatory fees for two years, total value of over $31,000
Awarding Timeline
- Eligible students admitted by February 1 will receive invite to apply after admission.
- Application opens December 1, 2025 and closes mid-February.
*Students who complete a Bachelor's Degree before entering SIU are ineligible.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Criteria
- Recipient of Dean's Transfer Scholarship
- Member of PTK for at least one academic year
- Entering SIU in a Fall term
Value
- $3,000 for the first year
- Five awardees chosen each year
Awarding Timeline
- Apply in the Saluki Scholarship Portal by Feb. 1.
- Awardees notified in April
Donor-Funded Scholarship Opportunities
Over $4.3 Million in donor-funded scholarships are awarded to SIU Students every year.
Explore applying for scholarships in the Saluki Scholarship Portal as soon as you receive notification of admission from Undergraduate Admissions and have followed the steps to claim your Network ID. Prior to admission, you may search opportunities within the portal, but in order to be matched with scholarship applications and opportunities, you must be admitted.
Scholarship applications for incoming undergraduate students open in October and selection begins immediately. Submit applications as soon as you are admitted. Criteria may include, but is not limited to, academic achievement, potential contributions, service and leadership, and financial need.
